We have to keep the drumbeat going. We spent all of January completely dominating the conversation on ICE, drastically moving public opinion, and legitimately breaking through to create a cultural moment. We cannot lose this momentum as the Trump regime tries to deflect by pretending they are drawing down their operations. The public is with us and the regime is still terrorizing our communities – keep sharing, particularly as the DHS funding fight picks up again next week.
At the same time, the revelations of the Epstein files are beyond horrific and it is important that the public understands the scale and severity of what is being revealed. I’ve said before that one thing that the right does so effectively is provide a villain for people to blame for all of their woes (immigrants) and that’s something we often omit in our narrative. The billionaire Epstein class is the real villain of the story – they’re the reason the system is so f*cked and why we’re all suffering. And now we’re learning of the vile and demonic things they did to children.

Yesterday morning, White House Border Czar Tom Homan announced a “drawdown” in Minnesota, removing 700 agents. It’s no coincidence that this announcement comes as DHS funding conversations continue in the Senate. This tone shift is clearly a political ploy, hoping the announcement will cause people to stop paying attention. Meanwhile, over 2,000 ICE agents are still roaming the streets and terrorizing communities in the state. We must keep the ICE atrocities (both in our neighborhoods and in concentration camps) front and center to keep the pressure high and demand no funding for Trump’s masked murder militia.

[TRIGGER WARNING] Because there are so many files, the Epstein conversation has been a slow drip drip over the past week as more and more horrors come to light. Most Americans are not processing every single detail because it is just too much. And those that are following along closely are likely in a state of disbelief, shock, horror, disgust, and rage (hi, it me). The child sex trafficking was bad enough, but it is hard to even cognitively process the levels of abuse, torture, murder, forced birth, and cannibalism (?!). Two things are clear though: 1) this evil operation touched every part of the system, domestically and globally, and is the largest cover up in history, 2) all the perpetrators need to pay. Since it will take time for people to learn and process all that is in these files, we should continue sharing and, as I said in my last dispatch, avoid making this topic too political and also be sure to impugn the entire billionaire class (there are a lot of billionaires in those files).

3. Trump is trying to take control of our elections so he can stay in power because he knows he is losing and desperate.
He’s losing. He knows it. And he’s panicking. It’s only February, so we should expect the efforts to sabotage the midterm elections to ramp up over the year. All of the engagement and defiance that we are seeing in the American public is going to need to be channeled toward demanding free and fair elections and enforcing the outcomes. For now, we can start to prime the public about these efforts, so that we can frame voting and protecting the election as acts of defiance.

We know that fascism relies on people, institutions, and corporations providing the services that allow it to function. So dismantling it requires taking down those pillars of support. Americans are strategically targeting the corporate enablers of ICE, with the goal of disrupting ICE operations. Because if they can’t operate, then they can’t kidnap our neighbors. Uplift and amplify these examples to socialize, normalize, and encourage more.
